We here at Brouwer's are excited to announce a couple of projects that we have been working on that involve local distilleries and wooden barrels. We got this little beauty, from Woodinville Whiskey, pictured above and are currently seasoning it with the intention of making our own cocktail in it in the upcoming months. Suggestions on what cocktail we should pour from it?
A month or so ago we had an evening with Boundary Bay Brewing
and Dry Fly Distillery
which showcased Boundary's beer aged in Dry Fly Whiskey Barrels, from this evening an idea was hatched. We went ahead and purchased some barrels and gave them to a handful of local breweries to age a beer, with the intention of releasing it at our Bigwood festival in December. We gave barrels to Big Time, Elysian, Elliot Bay (Lake City), Black Raven and Fremont. We look forward to having 5 unique beers available at Bigwood.
